AMPs easywrite office makes insurance process fast

Around 60% of all personal statements submitted via AMP ’s automated risk insurance underwriting telephone service, easywrite tele, are being completed in less than 30 minutes and an online desktop version, easywrite office, is set to make the process even more flexible.

Complementing easywrite tele, the new online planner version, easywrite office, allows customers to complete a personal statement in their financial planner’s office.

According to AMP, both clients and planners are benefiting from considerable time savings using easywrite tele. The telephone underwriting service, launched to all AMP financial planners at the end of last year, allows customers to complete a personal statement entirely over the phone.

Planners using easywrite tele report that the process is much easier for their clients than completing a paper-based personal statement. It gives them some control as they can complete a personal statement over the phone at a time, and place, that suits them.

A number of the easywrite tele cases are auto completing which means they are being accepted without the need to go to an underwriter. For the cases that do not auto complete, easywrite is reducing underwriting timeframes as the service produces such in depth personal statements.

The online version of the service, easywrite office, presents another choice for customers. Customers can now sit alongside their planner and work through a personal statement together online.

easywrite’s power emanates from the system asking the right questions in the right areas at the right time.

It drills down into areas that matter to ensure people are only asked questions relevant to them.

For the cases that go through to the underwriters, the depth of questioning means they have far more information to work with so they are ordering fewer medicals, another time saver for customers.

AMP’s automated risk insurance underwriting program covers both stand alone risk and risk in super. It is based on software that has an established track record of success in the USA, Canada and the United Kingdom. It is equipped with over 250 high level rules and 5,000 questions, making it the comprehensive program currently operating in Australia.
