BT appoints Watson Wyatt as investment consultant
BT Financial Group has appointed internationally recognised investment consultant, Watson Wyatt, to provide independent consulting services and manager research to the group’s Investment Solutions team.
According to BT, research provided by Watson Wyatt would be used in the selection of investment managers and for the ongoing monitoring and review of managers within BT’s multi-manager and Partner Series funds.
Complementing the existing research and assessment capabilities of BT’s Investment Solutions team, Watson Wyatt will also provide capital markets, asset allocation and risk management advice.
The appointment of Watson Wyatt reflects BT’s priority to act in the best interest of its investors and its continued desire to partner with a leading investment consultant who can provide impartial and independent advice in the manager selection process.
Watson Wyatt replaces Intech Investment Consultants, which was recently acquired by Skandia through its global parent, Old Mutual Group.
BT’s long relationship with Intech will continue in a number of areas, including product distribution in the retail and wholesale channels.
BT Multi-manager funds will also continue to invest in the Intech International Shares High Opportunities Trust.
BT’s four multi-manager products (Balanced, Conservative, Growth and High Growth) currently represent over $2.3bn in funds, providing investors access to 24 of the best Australian and overseas investment managers as well as diversification across asset class, manager and investment style.
BT’s Investment Solutions Team is responsible for researching, selecting and monitoring external investment capabilities for the BT group.
