Community First offers disaster relief for its members


Community First Credit Union  has announced a member assistance package for those people seriously affected by the storms that swept across Sydney, Central Coast and Lake Macquarie regions. The special disaster relief package is available to assist those members in need.

The relief package offers members affected by the storm:

With existing Community First home loans and personal loans to apply to defer repayments for up to three months;

With existing business loans to request loan restructuring without incurring the usual application fees;

With existing credit card and overdrafts to request an emergency credit limit increase up to $1,000;

To apply for a 6 month interest free personal loan for amounts up to $1,000 for emergency purposes (subject to normal approval criteria).

According to Community First Credit Union, as a credit union, Community First is committed to helping its members and the communities in which they live. It understands this disaster has adversely affected its members and their financial circumstances. This relief package gives its members who have been affected that little bit of extra room to concentrate on getting their lives back in order without the need to worry over financial commitments.

Existing Community First members who wish to take advantage of these special relief measures should visit their local Community First Financial Services Stores, located in: Campbelltown, Penrith, Liverpool, St Marys, Mt Druitt, Bankstown, Tuggerah , Erina Fair, Lake Haven, Kotara, Glendale, Woy Woy and Swansea.
