HESTA appoints executive manager for Marketing Strategy


HESTA  is national industry fund for health and community services, with $13bn in assets, 595,000 members and 59,000 employers. The Fund has a Platinum rating from SuperRatings and an AAA Selecting Super Quality Rating.

Kate Andrews has been appointed as the new Executive Manager, Marketing Strategy at HESTA Super Fund.

Kate brings more than 15 years experience in marketing communications to HESTA, gained from advertising agencies in Australia and the USA such as DDB, Wieden Kennedy, George Patterson Partners and Grey Worldwide.

She worked on brands including Microsoft, US West, 3 Mobile, GE Money, AXA and National Australia Bank.

Kate holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne and a Graduate Diploma of Marketing from Monash University.

Kate said, she is thrilled to be part of a company whose sole purpose is to boost the retirement incomes of members.

Especially given about 85% of HESTA members are women, whose account balances are well below the national average. This is something she is passionate about trying to address.

According to HESTA, they have been well served by its previous Marketing managers but Kate’s experience and capabilities will further enhance its Marketing and Communications area and she will be a great fit for the HESTA team.

Kate started with HESTA on August 20, 2007.
